Anthem Hills Family Farm Share

Anthem Hills Family Farm Share

Our 2017 Community Shared Agriculture program runs for 12 weeks, from early July to late September. The largest shares will be during the peak of harvest season, with smaller shares at the beginning of the season. Your weekly produce will consist of seasonal vegetables for salads and an assortment of other vegetables to nourish a veggie-loving couple or family (2 adults and 2 children) for the week. This could replace your trip to the Farmer's Market but would not usually provide large quantities for preserving.

Shares include 12 weekly boxes of of fresh seasonal produce trucked into Edmonton for your convenience. Farm fresh eggs can also be purchased when picking up your share box.

By purchasing this CSA share you agree to participate as a shareholder with Anthem Hills Family Farm 2017 Vegetable CSA. You understand the risks and benefits of vegetable farming and would like to sign up for a share in the 2017 harvest, which includes a variety of vegetables and herbs.

Each week, we will bring freshly harvested produce into Edmonton. CSA participants are responsible for picking up their share within the specified times. Meet us in the North-West corner of Westmount Mall parking lot every Thursday, from early July to late September, between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Or, you can meet us at a North-East Edmonton location (TBA) between 6:00 PM and 6:30PM. If you are unable to pick-up, feel free to let us know the name of the person you will be sending on your behalf.

We will to do our best to provide you with a bountiful share each week. Despite our best efforts, the quantity and quality of produce may vary from week-to-week due to weather, insects, or other challenges. By joining our CSA, you are agreeing to share the enjoyment of abundance and the risk of crop failure with us and other participants.

In the event of a crop failure, our procedure is as follows:

If only a small portion of crops fail, we compensate for the failed crops by filling your share with other crops from the farm that are ready for harvest at that time. If a large portion of the crops fail, we may not be able to deliver any of those crops as planned. If it is possible to replant for a later harvest date, we will do so.

The rewards of farming are also shared among participants and everyone enjoys the bounty of crops that are growing well. In the event of a bumper crop, our participants will receive an abundance of whichever crops are producing beyond our expectations.

When you sign up, you will be added to our email list. We will use email for communicating important information like farm updates, schedule changes, and tips or recipes pertaining to your CSA share contents. Please read them carefully and we hope you enjoy!
